Boating Safety Education Card Request
This blog will will walk you through the process of applying for a replacement Maryland Natural Resources Police Replacement Hunting / Boating Safety Education Card Request.
Here at PTPGun.com, we like to keep you covered with all training and instruction. Not just Maryland HQL Training, or Maryland Handgun Qualification, ALL Training. I mean, Its in the name.
If you are anything like me, you are already thinking about the Big Buck you’ve seen moving through your super-secret hidey hole this summer and last spring.
We are only a few short months away from being out in the woods and exercising our Apex Predator abilities on lesser species. That's right, hunting season is coming!
I was going through my gear the other day and realized I couldn’t find my Maryland Natural Resources Police Replacement Hunting Safety Education Card.
Now, I took the Hunter Safety Education course way back in 2004 when I first moved to Maryland from Arizona. I have kept my certificate in the same place, with the same gear, for going on 20 years. Every year I take it down when applying for my hunting license, and every year I put it back in the safe.
Alas, this year something must have happened. I must have left the certificate on the counter at the license shop, thrown it out with the trash, or a safe goblin got to my secret stash.
Regardless, it is something we need and therefore I had to get a new one.
These are the steps I took to get a Maryland Natural Resources Police Replacement Hunting / Boating Safety Education Card

The form will require you to enter your email, what type of replacement card you are requesting, and your full name:
Make sure you type in a real email address here.
Next, and this is something you ladies need to pay attention to, it will ask if you completed the course under a different name:
If any of you ladies took the course before getting married, make sure you use your maiden name here:
The last few questions are: what is your date of birth, when did you take the course, and in what location did you complete the course.
After filling out all the required fields, you'll click the submit button at the bottom of the form.
If you inputted all of the information correctly, you will come to the confirmation screen:
You will also get an email confirmation:
This is why it is important to make sure you put a real email address in when applying for your replacement Maryland Natural Resources Police Replacement Hunting / Boating Safety Education Card
After that, you will have to wait about 14 days for your replacement to be emailed to you.
I submitted my request on 30JUN2021 and I will come back and update this blog post with any new information as to how long it took to receive, if they requested any further information, or any other lessons learned once I receive my replacement.
Until then, stay safe and train, train, train!
